Some nice birds in and about the Lockyer Valley in recent days included
Freckled Duck at 3 sites, a flock of Red-tailed Black Cockatoo (a rarity in
south-east Queensland), Black-tailed Native-hen, a flock of 3000 Pink-eared
Duck (a very large number for this species in SEQ), Blue-billed Duck,
Hoary-headed Grebe and Red-necked Avocet.
