Back in the 70's & 80's we were friendly with Herb and Pearl Rabig who owned Cuddapan Station west of Windorah. Many Bird watchers and Naturalist will remember Herb he was an excellent observer and recorder of all things Natural History. He related to me various stories in relation to the night parrot. He said he had flushed them from time to time on his property in the 50's& 60's, he always saw them when he was on horseback mustering. His impression was that whenever he had seen them they were flushed from beneath Grevillea juncafolia rather than Spinifex. His neighbour at that time was Bill Scott manager of Tanbar Station, which adjoined Cuddapan. Bill told me the same basic story as I recall.
