Subject: | Do kookaburra dive for fish? |

I was walking along our local creek this afternoon when I saw a kookaburra dive down from a tree towards the water. Unfortunately part of the bank blocked the landing, but I saw water from a splash. The bird flew back to the perch and turned, looking damp, but I couldn't see that it had caught anything. Has anyone seen a kookaburra dive into the water and catch fish? =============================== To unsubscribe from this mailing list, send the message: unsubscribe (in the body of the message, with no Subject line) to: http://birding-aus.org =============================== |
