I've just received a message from Bill Rutherford saying that he and his team 
caught and banded a Striated Heron at Herdsman Lake yesterday evening. These 
are rare south of about Shark Bay and most reports south of that turn out to be 
young night heron, but as it was caught and banded this one would seem reliable!
 
Caught in the vicinity of Settlers Cottage
