One Freckled Duck roosting with Little Black Cormorants

Freckled Duck, White-necked Heron Minnippi Parklands, Tingalpa
Freckled Duck still present, asleep under the Island. White-necked Heron still on the Airfield (3rd week in a row!), also 2 White-bellied Cuckoo Shrikes in the scrub behind the Airfield

Spectacled Monarch, Rose Robin, Shining Bronze-Cuckoo, Sacred Kingfisher Gold Creek Reservoir
One late/overwintering Spectacled Monarch and approximately 10 Rose Robins at Gold Creek Reservoir today. Also 4+ Shining Bronze-Cuckoos and a Sacred Kingfisher.

Hoary-headed Grebe Black Duck Hole, Murrumba Downs
Single bird at northern end of southern pond this afternoon. Black-tailed Native-hen still nearby in Dohles Rocks along with 60+ Pink-eared Duck and Spotted Harrier.

Sat 22 Jun Black Kite East Brisbane
A huge commotion in the local Noisy Miner and Torresian Crow crowd alerted us to a Black Kite flying over our place. It was then harassed by a Torresian Crow and chased past 'The Gabba'.

Single bird seen this afternoon with numerous Pacific Black Duck on the wetland behind the houses of Golden Bear Drive. First time I have seen this species on the Gold Coast. Swamp Harrier also seen at this location today.

Spotted Harrier Old Tamborine Road Weir, Oxenford
One bird seen flying east across the weir this morning at about 9am. Another bird seen about midday flying east over Regatta Av. Oxenford being mobbed by Masked Lapwing. First time I have seen this species on the Gold Coast.
