Hi Peter,

I had similar troubles a few months ago, breaking the angle adjustment
ratchet on a Manfrotto 055xprob. A similar tripod. I couldn't wait as I was
travelling, so I glued the joint solid with epoxy.

However, if you can wait, you can get spare parts for Manfrotto tripods.

If you Google the part number you need (e.g. "R055,399"), you will find many
