This bird looks interesting indeed. Not sure though, if the pictures suffice 
for identification down to subspecies level.
Interestingly the first 'Australian Reed-Warbler' on Birds in Backyards is a 
Cisticola: http://www.birdsinbackyards.net/species/Acrocephalus-australis

I've put two photos on my blog of a single reed bird I found in the Harding Dam 
area of the Pilbara today Saturday. I'd appreciate any suggestions regarding 
the species as I'm discombobulate..d
