Sun 19 May Freckled Duck Garnet's Lagoon, Hervey Bay
Freckled Duck 12 birds observed resting and feeding. My first sighting of Freckled Ducks.

Sun 19 May Hoary-headed Grebe Dowse Lagoon, Sandgate
Single bird put on a fishing display for half an hour, just 10m from the main hide - first I've seen here.

Sat 18 May Pacific Baza Minnippi Parklands, Tingalpa
Pacific Baza (1) high in a eucalypt being swooped by some butchers. Poss juvenile, stripes feint but no doubt a PB.

Sat 18 May Black Kite Mt Crosby Rd, Tivoli
500-1000 birds streaming above, moving generally east to west, dispersing and then regrouping. Tried taking photos with iPhone, but only specks in the sky, one photo attached of group of closer birds, but only part of the 'flock'

About six both male and female, close to the island in the lagoon and best viewed from the side of the lagoon nearest to the Lawn Bowls Club

30+ black kites have been circling on the north eastern side of the Bermuda St exit for about a week now.

Adult bird in small ephemeral swamp on western side of the Gateway Motorway just 700 metres South of Nundah Creek crossing.

Wed 1 May Little Eagle Graceleigh Park, Beechmont
A pair flying above the ridge just west of the park. The first time I have seen them in Beechmont .
