You can get involved with a similar project at the Australian Museum:
http://volunteer.ala.org.au/

At the moment they have projects on molluscs and plants (Aristolochia), but
this changes regularly. It is an interesting way of learning a little
something on a topic that you may not know anything about & making a small
scientific contribution at the same time.
