Hi
Sun 17 th March drove north into a flock of approx 100 White-throated
Needletails and a handfull of
Australian Swiftlets feeding in a circular movement (from east to west) above
the Bruce Hwy just south of
Rollingstone. Reversed to watch them 7.35 - 7.40 am and had excellent views of
white throats and rumps
as birds were feeding from 2-6 metres above ground. Melleuca scrub either side
of road. Clear bright
morning - 33 degrees later in day. Observers Joan Wharton and Rosemary Payet

Another lucky sighting
Joan
