Birdline Tasmania

Published sightings for the week ending 3 Mar 2013.

Thu 28 Feb Grey Goshawk Woodbridge Hill
Pure white, sat proud in my biggest tree for 10 minutes. I was able to get some photos with my phone through my binoculars.
Jack T.

Tue 26 Feb Buller's Albatross 15 km south of Cape Bruny
Saw 2 or 3, came and sat near the boat while fishing in deep water.
Dale Watson

Thu 21 Feb Grey Goshawk Between beds 2 & 4, Bicentennial Track beside Mt Nelson Tas
Two Grey Goshawks - white morphs - in the gums in the gully. One presumably an immature was calling its parent bird which remained close by. One adult Goshawk has been seen four days in the same area during that week, & near the Hutchins school & Tas uni campus.
Diana Womersley
