and it might interest birding-aus readers to know that keen Canberra
birder and photographer Stuart Harris discovered one of the most
recently described species of peacock spider , and has been working
with Jurgen Otto on finding out more about these beautiful creatures.

, including the Maratus harrisi which was named after Stuart. He gave
a presentation on Maratus harrisi at a Canberra Ornithologists Group
