Sat 15 Dec	Wedge-tailed Eagle Gold Creek Reservoir Wedge-tailed Eagle (2) Eagles circling for half an hour , very HIgh above Gold creek Jo Culican
Sat 15 Dec	Kermadec Petrel Southport Pelagic 12+ today which is a record count from Southport on single day trips. Most were intermediates with a couple of dark phase birds. They were continuously around the boat for 90 mins + Rob Morris on the Southport Pelagic organised by Paul Walbridge

	Black, Black-winged, Gould's, Kermadec, Tahiti and Grey-faced Petrels, South Polar Skua, L-T Jaeger Southport Pelagic 1 Black, 1 Black-winged, 2-3 Gould's, 12 Kermadec, 3 Tahiti and 100+ Grey-faced Petrels, 1 dark South Polar Skua, 1 imm Long-tailed, 1-2 Arctic, 3-4 Pomerine Jaegers. 	White-throated Needletail North Brisbane - Boondall to Griffin Massive numbers of needletails NE of Brisbane this am. Driving back to Griffin, wall to wall large flocks of WT Needletail from Boondall to Griffin, feeding low in clear skies. When I was able to stop having got off the motorway, the extent of the numbers became clear. Standing on the rise at the top of Henry Road in Griffin, the skies were full of swifts, with many more at great height too. Conservatively at least a couple of thousand birds, but probably considerably more than that... No Fork-taileds seen though! Andy Jensen
	Pale-vented Bush-hen and Oriental Cuckoo Anstead Bush Reserve Two bush-hens still with down on their heads at north-east corner of the reserve by the road, near the junction of Hawkesbury and Mount Crosby Roads. Still two (possibly a third) Oriental Cuckoos in the same area as reported by Steve Murray a week ago. Rod Gardner

Fri 14 Dec	Square-tailed Kite Clear Mountain Pair flying over head in Clear Mountain. Second time I have seen this species in my garden. Andrew Sutherland
Thu 13 Dec	Juvenile Australian Little Bittern Metroplex Again on Southside of bridge. To left-hand side of rushes in far side of 2nd bay in the left bank. 6:40pm. Colleen Lock
	Juvenile Nankern Night Heron Metroplex 6:30pm - South of bridge, to right, near Aust. White Ibis. Took an out-of-focus, though identifiable photo. Colleen & Wayne ock

Tue 11 Dec	Spotless Crake Metroplex Wetlands, Murarrie Seen preening after bath on southside of wetlands about 1 pm. Sheryl Keates & Alex Ferguson
	Pale-vented Bush-hen Thornlands At 5.30am on the left of Thornlands Rd, between 2nd and 3rd roundabouts (at bottom of hill). Very good close view on the mown bank before it disappeared into the rank vegetation. My first sighting of Bush-hens in the area. George Chapman
Mon 10 Dec	Painted Honeyeater Near Washpool Road south east of Peaks Crossing It was on private land but there is similar habitat nearby along Washpool Road and Mt Elliot Road. Please note there is a bushfire in the area at present which is why I was there. I was actually fighting a fire when 2 birds landed nearby. Barry Davies
	Oriental Cuckoo Anstead Bushland Reserve Following Rod Gardner's report yesterday, I was able to locate two birds at the end of the track that leads to a hill overlooking the river (North of the powerlines). One bird was seen well. Another was seen from a distance and looked grey brown on the back rather than grey. It was only seen from behind and may have been an immature bird. Another bird was seen on the track that leads back toward the quarry (near the powerlines). All birds were very flighty and I could only manage a poor quality record shot. Steve Murray
