Greetings, again, on this subject. I didn't receive a lot of replies to the
original query (below), but thanks to those who did reply - the sites you
sent were good. Of course, I've also been out to many of the sites that can
be found by searching the birding-aus archive. The birds can still be
located there, fortunately, as I had been looking for current/recent sites.
Anyone who's interested in seeing the csu paper once I've finished it (in a
week or two), do just let me know & I'll pdf you.
Meanwhile, there's good news & perhaps bad on the Southbank-Kurilpa
Fairy-Wrens: I've only been able to locate two Superbs there, whereas I
recall the population being larger. Is there (now) more than one group? Or
did the ?flood reduce the population to just these two?
That's the bad news -- but it'd be thrilling if someone were to see more
than two Superbs, between Kurilpa Park and the Maritime Museum end of
Southbank...
The possibly good news is that I saw, in breeding plumage, a single male
Red-backed Fairy-Wren, singing out. Hadn't seen this there before.
