Hallo Sherri,You must have seen my message on birding.aus from a recent visit to the Bitter Springs area. Just to put the record strait, I was not questioning the absence of the bird (I am fully aware of a lot of those points you mention - I grew up in East Africa with lots of raptors about) - but rather the disconcerting reaction of one of the owners, which must have been triggered by some awful behaviour from some birders!! I just went in to ask permission - I do not believe in trespassing, and I might not have been a birder, but someone in trouble.......! But, generally speaking, your notes are a good reminder to us all. Regards, Peter MadvigPS. There are many birders who read birding.aus who are well educated and aware of your points - I'd even think the majority. |
