Hi Roy - I'm often out there - the original visitors centre was moved some time
back - as far as I am aware you can still get the key for the high tide roost
hide from the new visitors centre - you can just call in there and after
showing ID they will generally give you the keys
I have to say its always disappointing at the roost nowadays - very few
migratory waders - good for Chestnut Teal and a few other cormorants and herons
and egrets - they also seem to congregate well away from the hide ( what's new
with man made hides!!) However at times something more interesting does turn up
so worth a look.

The lake area at the old visitors centre and the car park area there are both
good bird watching spots.

Regards
