Hi Dave

Yes, Pantanos de Villa is certainly the premier site in Lima and easily
accessible. They are open. Although, they open only at 8 AM.
There are serveral other sites for instance Pucusana som 60K to the south
where one can spot Humboldt Penguins from land.
To the north in Lomas de Lachay featuring several endemics such as Cactus
Canastero, Thick-billed, Grayish and Coastal Miners, Raimondi's
Yellow-FInch, Tawny-throated Dottorel and Least Seed-snipe.
Inland from one may visit Santa Eulalia Canyon wiht Andean Condor, Great
Inca-Finch and Black-necked Woodpecker. At the top of the valley one finds
White-cheeked Cotinga, Diademed Sandpiper-Plover and White-bellied
Cinclodes.
One may also do pelagics from Lima which often give Waved Albatros,
Swallow-tailed Gull, Hornby's and Markham's Storm-Petrels and many more
inner pelagic species.
There are scheduled pelagics on Sep 19, Oct 2 and 25 and Nov 12. Contact me
if you need more information.
