Two again on the lawn at Killara Station this morning. As per other posts,
Buff-banded Rails are often confiding birds (like the ones in the Botannical
Gardens in Sydney - not sure of those are still seen). I posted this mainly so
that commuting birders on the North Shore Line could enjoy the sight on their
way to work or even stop off at Killara en route if they fancied.

I have seen Buff-banded Rails on the lawn at Killara Station (NSW) two mornings
running at roughly 8.15 a.m. - yesterday one pursuing another to and fro,
followed by the appearance of a third bird, and today two feeding nonchalantly
out in the open. This was all in the few minutes I waited for my train to work
both days.

Cheers

Tim
