I was birding today in the Bli Bli area of the Sunshine Coast with Jim
Sneddon and was surprised to find about 20 Black Kites which had evidently
been attracted to the area by grass fires. This is normally a rare species
in South-East Queensland. We also saw a nice pair of Eastern Grass Owls.
