Ian,

I have seen Koels eating the fruit and Spiderhunters, Sunbirds and other small 
nectar feeders very busy in the odd one I have seen in flower.
They seem to have been the inspiration for some of the slightly bizarre looking 
"Telecoms trees" design used for mobile phone transmitter towers you see in 
Malaysia.
