Published sightings for the week ending 12 Aug 2012.

Fri 10 Aug Black-breasted Buzzard, Cockatiel, Pied Honeyeater Marla
Black-breasted Buzzard: two separate sightings along the Oodnadatta Track between Oodnadatta and Marla. Cockatiel: flock of 7 birds located in trees lining creek bed along Oodnadatta Track. Pied Honeyeater: feeding with a pair of mulga parrots.

Thu 9 Aug Crimson Chat, Banded Whiteface, Cinnamon Quail-thrush Oodnadatta Track
Crimson Chat: single female found about 100kms along the Oodnadatta Track from William Creek Banded Whiteface: pair sighted among groups of Zebra finches, fairy-wrens and budgerigars along the Oodnadatta Track. Cinnamon Quail-thrush: several birds seen early morning along side of track about 10kms out of William Creek toward Oodnadatta

Wed 8 Aug Port Lincoln Parrot, Orange Chat, Mistletoebird William Creek Road at 29 00S 135 00E 10' Cell
Port Lincoln Parrot Pair found and photographed. Orange Chat: 12kms from Coober Pedy on William Creek Road. Mistletoebird seen among finches and budgerigars not far from Coober Pedy.

Tue 7 Aug Thick-billed Grasswren, Pied Honeyeater, Red-capped Robin, Mistletoebird Coober Pedy, South Australia
Thick-billed Grasswren: very elusive birds but seen twice. Pied Honeyeater -several birds. Red-capped Robin; single male bird flew in and briefly sat on a bush no more than 10 meters away. Mistletoebird; single male sighted early morning. Close up views and photo obtained
