Sun 29 Jul Swift Parrot, Fuscous, Black-chinned and Striped Honeyeaters Pine Mountain Bush Reserve
One Swift Parrot living up to its name calling and flying at high speed overhead. Several Fuscous Honeyeaters seen. Black-chinned and Striped Honeyeaters heard.

Mon 23 Jul Mallee Ringnecks Mosquito Creek Road near Lake Coolmunda
A pair of Mallee Ringnecks 2 km up the track from the Highway. A long way east for this species. Lots of dry country birds - c10 Bluebonnets, 6 Ground Cuckoo-shrikes, 5 Emu, 2 Banded Lapwing, c6 Red-capped Robins, Inland Thornbills, White-winged Fairy-wrens etc. No luck with Squatter Pigeons though!

A good range of Honeyeaters yesterday during a brief visit. Lots of Brown-headed and 2 Black-chinned (calling a lot).

Three near the main car park. This was my first record of this species at this site since 2007 during the drought. How regular are they in Brisbane?

Black-browed Albatross (1), Northern Giant-Petrel (1), Great-winged Petrel (2), Fluttering Shearwaters (400+) & Common Noddys (190) - 4.5 hour seawatch from Pt Lookout.

Large flocks at morning and evening on 20th (pm), 23 (pm), 24th (pm).
