Hi Steve,

My Mother's Day gift was Led Lenser H7. Fantastic and heaps bright enough for 
spotlighting and surveying. Cost $79 from our local marine supply shop. The H14 
is more powerful, but not sure that it is needed.  

I understand there are some dodgy fakes so take care in choosing an internet 
site if you go down that path.
