Published sightings for the week ending 18 Mar 2012.

Sat 17 Mar Australian Shelduck Leanyer Sewage Ponds, Darwin
Rare record for northern Australia, well outside usual range.
Peter Kyne, Micha Jackson & Golo Maurer

Fri 16 Mar Chiming Wedgebill Tobermory, Plenty Highway. Approx. 20ks west of NT/Qld border
Stopped to check out Little Eagle. Heard 2 birds in distance from roadside singing "Did you get drunk, did you get drunk". Calling repeatedly. An easterly record for this species (co-ordinates taken). Plenty Highway (Qld side) jumping with birds! 8 Black Falcons, similar numbers of Spotted Harriers and Flock Bronzewings. Hundreds of Singinging Bushlarks and Crimson Chats. Bustards, Brolgas, Australuan Pratincole and Ground Cuckoo-Shrike(NT side) also seen, to name a few.
