Tonight, the last briefing will take place for people who want to attend the
opening morning of duck hunting season, beginning 17 March.
Coalition Against Duck Shooting will hold a meeting on the top floor, Kindness
House, 288 Brunswick St, Fitzroy at 7.30 pm.
Volunteers are needed for driving, logistics, monitoring, administration and
assisting with animal first aid. This is a rescue, not a protest. Rescuers
attempt to save wounded ducks and to monitor the shooting of other bird species.
Teams go out to at least one Victorian wetlands every weekend of the 12-week
season.
