Sun 12 Feb	Rainbow Bee-eater Swamp Creek Rainbow Bee-eater (3) Breeding. Observed feeding young. Alastair Smith
	White-throated Needletail Uriarra Road White-throated Needletail 7 heading south. Alastair Smith
	White-throated Needletail Giralang About 7:30 this evening a large flock (100+) of White-throated Needletails flew over my place in Giralang heading west. Most were very high, but a few were flying low. Duncan McCaskill
Sat 11 Feb	Superb Parrot Bunnings Belconnen About 50 birds flew over heading east. Stephen Wallace
	Tawny Frogmouth O'Connor Ridge Nature Reserve Tawny Frogmouth (2) perched in a red stringy bark and (usually for frogmouths) in plain view. Alastair Smith
Thu 9 Feb	Superb Parrot Eddison Park Woden Solitary male flying north over Eddison Park at 0830 this morning. I don't often see them southside John Leonard
Wed 8 Feb	Pallid Cuckoo Molonglo River Pallid Cuckoo (1) immature. Looking for Pied Cormorants reported on Canberrabirds. There were no Pied Cormorants. Little Pied Cormorants were breeding (6 juveniles) as were Little Black Cormorants (4 juveniles) and Australasian Darters (about 20 nestlings and juveniles). Alastair Smith
	Royal Spoonbill Kelly's Swamp 1 Royal Spoonbill feeding vigorously at 11am. Robin Hide
Tue 7 Feb	Peregrine Falcon Cotter Road/Tuggeranong Parkway Weston Peregrine Falcon flying low after being mobbed by a surprisingly acrobatic Black-shouldered Kite. I have often seen peregrines at this location hunting the feral pigeons that live beneath the bridge. Peter Ramshaw
Mon 6 Feb	Restless Flycatcher CSIRO Ecosystem Sciences As I was leaving CSIRO Ecosystem Sciences I saw a Restless Flycatcher, the first I have seen in the ACT in about 4 years – I did hear one 2 years ago near Gundaroo. This is a species that was once quite common locally but as Canberra has expanded is becoming increasingly uncommon to my eyes. Mark Clayton
