Hi Folks,
Our Buff-breasted Paradise-Kingfisher population at the Lodge is expanding with five nests that have chicks in and at least another three with birds sitting. Some of the chicks hatched about a week ago, which is several weeks later than last year but last year we had floods in February and the chicks were out of the nest before the floods came, they obviously knew they were coming. The majority of termite mounds with nests are above flood level but at least two went under. More information can be found at http://kingfisherparkbirdwatchers.blogspot.com/

Cheers,
Keith & Lindsay.
