A friend and I are seriously considering participating in the madness and going on a whirlwind twitch from Perth to Broome to catch the Hoopoe and Semi-palmated Plover. Does anyone have any current info on these two birds? I see the plover has most recently been spotted on the beach rather than the sewer works - which is useful as we will be hiring a car and unable to climb on top of it to take a peek into the poo ponds.

Thanks for the info.
