G'day,

(That's 50km north of Brisbane, Qld.)

Between 5pm and 5.30pm at least, on Friday 16/12, a Kelp Gull waspresent on the sand bar at Buckley's Hole. I had popped over with BobJames, that incomparable Sunshine Coaster, to see if either Glossy Ibisor Lewin's Rail were present. First bird he saw - "Kelp Gull"! I thoughthe was suffering from post NZ syndrome but there it was.
