Firstly, I¹d like to thank all those who offered advice on birding in
Melbourne, and especially to Greg Hunt and Bob Miller who took me to the one
and only Werribee, and Anthea and Brian Fleming who showed me Wilson¹s
Reserve. I¹d wanted to meet Anthea and Brian for so long and thoroughly
enjoyed my morning with them. And there¹s really nothing like birding with
a couple of blokes like Greg and Bob - birders who combine a wonderful
sense of irreverence with expertise and thoughtfulness. A great morning
made better by the including of lunch. Having had several meals at Leanyer
Sewage Ponds I felt quite at home!

I¹d also like to publicly thank Judith Hoyle for sending me her old
binoculars. I¹ll be taking these out to Arnhem Land next trip to give to
members of my family who are interested in birding.

Michael and I are presently preparing the 3rd edition of Birds of
Australia's Top End and would like to include actual bird calls, whether on
DVD or whatever. Does anyone have any ideas?

Regards
Denise
