Very late koel arrival

Our annual koel has finally arrived in our patch of Schofields (NW Sydney) long after we decided it must have died or gone elsewhere.

Which raises a question or two:

1. Do koels return to the same area annually -- I presume so, as we've always had a pair arriving Sept/October.

2. Do they normally return to the same tree each year? Ours seem to, though this one is not in the usual tree yet.

Cheers
