The things you see when you haven't got a camera...
A long strand of bark was hanging loose from a gumtree at Heidelberg's
RC Primary School this morning. It was blowing about in the wind and a Magpie was hanging from it by one foot, head down and swaying wildly about. As we watched, it got a grip with its other foot, bent its head up and tried very hard to tear off some bark. Presumably the bark was wanted for nest construction. The bird looked ridiculous.
