Hi Everyone,

This is a reminder to everyone that the Birds Australia Victorian
Twitchathon is scheduled for Saturday 12th and Sunday 13th November this
year.

It's time to get your teams together, to organise your route and to get
ready for some serious (well, not so serious) birding fun!

Please see the Birds Australia Victoria Twitchathon web page for more
details:

http://www.birdsaustralia.com.au/the-organisation/vic-twitchathon.html

Download the Registration Form and Sponsorship Form from this website -
please note that the forms have changed since last year, so please don't use
last year's forms! Please get your forms in as soon as possible.

All proceeds raised by the Twitchathon are used to fund the Birds Australia
Victoria Research Grants - see
http://www.birdsaustralia.com.au/the-organisation/vic-research-grants.html
for further information. Each year Birds Australia Victoria funds students
conducting bird-related projects in Victoria. These projects are always
interesting and contribute valuable information to our collective knowledge
about birds and bird-related conservation. In addition, the students that we
fund give talks at our monthly meetings to give us understanding of their
projects and the outcomes.

Paul Dodd

BA Victoria Convenor
