Powerful Owl Tawny Frogmouths, Sydney Botanic Gardens

My understanding is that male Powerful Owls regularly hold food 
during the day to feed the female first thing in the evening, as the 
female sits on the eggs in the nest hollow and feeds the young.  But 
I don't know if this is the breeding season.  They may hold food 
throughout the year?
