Took my partner Pam to see the Regents today. They were all still there but
were much less active with several small groups making lots of scolding
noises rather than calling and flying around as they had been on Thursday.
One pair gave a lovely display of wings and tail feathers while making a lot
of soft squawks - not sure whether they were in competition for nest holes
or engaging in some pre-nup chatting up, but it was very nice to watch and
listen.

On the way home , about half way between Morgan and Blanchetown there was a
large group of Apostlebirds, dozens of them , all over the road and on the
ground and in bushes both sides. I had to go very slowly to avoid hitting
any of them. They took very little notice of the car.

Tony
