Birdline Tasmania

Published sightings for the week ending 10 Jul 2011.

Fri 8 Jul Swamp Harrier, Yellow-rumped Thornbill, Scarlet Robin, Shy Albatross Ulverstone District
A mixed bag! Windy day, so tried Three Sisters for sea-watching, but little on offer. Tried West Gawler Road for Dusky Moorhen - none, but flushed an adult Swamp Harrier from beside dam. At least three pairs of Scarlet Robin in paddock further along road, as well as two Yellow-rumped Thornbill (our first for the Ulverstone District). Then to Ulverstone beach for another brief sea watch, where we got three Shy Albatross.
John & Shirley Tongue, and Hazel Britton

Birdline Tasmania is sponsored by Eremaea Birds and co-ordinated and hosted by Eremaea Birds.
