John,

I think the best bet might be " A Field Guide to the Reptiles of SE Asia" by Indraneil Das, New Holland. At least it will help in the southern parts of China. The China Scientific Book Service http://www.hceis.com/ has several books on reptiles but all seem to be either geographically localised or in Chinese with Latin names, or both.

Cheers,

Carl Clifford

Does any one know of a field guide type book (in English) of the reptiles of China. I've searched, but I can't find anything.

cheers
