IOC world list

I am about to use the IOC 2.8 to reformat my birding database. To do
this I am going to go through and begin numbering the families and
genera, probably using the formula 00X 00X (family genus) ie
Tinamidae/Tinamus is 001 001, Tinamidae/Nothocercus is 001 002 &c

Before I begin, has anyone done anything like this previously and
would be willing to share? Or if not, would anyone like my list after
I have finished?
