Chestnut-breasted Whiteface, Thick-billed Grasswren
Mt Lyndhurst Station
After phoning Bill for permission to search we drove to the old car 27.2kms from Lyndhurst. The weather was not good with a strong wind but we saw the two species above together with dozens of Zebra Finch, a few Chirruping Wedgebills and Budgerigar. The area was circa 400 meters along the track in from the road.

Great Shearwater, Black-bellied Storm-Petrel, Gould's Petrel, Sooty Albatross, Long-tailed Jaeger
Port MacDonnell Pelagic
I noted with interest the sightings off Portland on Sunday. We also had an exceptional trip off Port MacDonnell with c50 Great Shearwaters from inshore right out to the shelf (I think 13 around the boat at one time was the most), one Black-bellied Storm Petrel, one or two Gould's Petrels, one Sooty Albatross, 4 or 5 Long-tailed Jaegers and several Bullers Albatross. As someone on the boat said, "Something strange is going on here"
