Hi Birders,
I wrote an article a while back for Bird-o.com about the Alice Springs poo
ponds, a celebration of the place, a scene-setter for those who have yet to try
it out. It ended up being withheld from publication due to the temporary
closure of the site. Now that the Ponds are open again and Chris Watson has
published his (frankly excellent) birders' guide to the Ponds it seemed a good
time to publish the postponed piece. Enjoy:http://bit.ly/dMT5Nb
By the way, Barb Gilfedder found another blinder at the Ponds yesterday- a
divine male Freckled Duck in pond EP10. Anyone in the region should take this
chance to check out this visitor while you can.
