Dear B-aers,

Museums Victoria has recently released an iPhone/pad?pod app entitled "Field Guide to Victorian Fauna". It has photographs, distribution maps, status and for quite a number of species, of 700 species. It is very well priced, free. The app may not have every Victorian bird on it, but it would be useful for birders because it contains a good number of terrestrial and marine fauna, vertebrate and invertebrate, all on the one app. If you happen to come across a Southern Wentle- trap in your wanderings, you can look it up on the app. Sadly, it does not have it's call.

It is obtainable, of course, from Apple's iTunes store.

Cheers,

Carl Clifford
