Birdline South Australia

Published sightings for the week ending 6 Mar 2011.

Fri 4 Mar Spotted Harrier Thompson Beach
Good views of lone bird hawking a metre off ground approx. 2-3km east of beach proper, on main road (southern side) as road veers right when heading east. Viewed for 2 minutes from car and kept quite close to road edge. Whilst not actually at beach site, thought it was worth noting. (1).

Sun 27 Feb Peregrine Falcon Stockyard Creek, Owen
A pair perched on powerlines in an area it is much more usual to find Black and Brown Falcons!
Chris Steeles

Birdline South Australia is sponsored by Eremaea Birds and co-ordinated and hosted by Eremaea Birds.
