My message was not a response to that quote at all. If you notice I
addressed that person afterwards. My response was to another post altogether
as you are fully aware.

Just wanted to point out that Marks sarcastic and sardonic message was a
response to the quote above (not made by me) on another birding site and the
subsequent agreement to this quote by another poster.
I think Marks responding message on here has been a massive overreaction and
I thought that the context of his response (ie. the above quote) might
reflect that to all readers. Or at least that it should be known where his
reaction was coming from!!
