Advice received from Clive Minton. Among waders caught during a Victorian Wader Study Group banding session at Black Rocks, Barwon Heads on 22 January 2011 was a first winter LITTLE STINT. Potential twitchers beware that it is virtually impossible to detect this bird in the field unless you can see that the wings are in moult. Red-necked Stints do not moult their wings in this season. This is the 8th Little Stint to be banded by the VWSG.
