Bill & Jack Moorhead are currently with Ben Weston (finder) at the boat ramp at the Gladstone yacht club watching and photographing a Black-tailed Gull. It appears to be perhaps a second winter bird in moult. Bill pattern is slightly odd as the subterminal band is comparatively obscure. Legs are grey. It is eminently twitchable for locals but the floods have cut roads in the area so getting there could be a problem.
