Hi all, it isn't soo much about the amount of rainfall in central Australia in 
2010 but the regularity of rainfall and timimg that allowed for exceptional 
conditions in central Australia.  I have only been in Alice for 12 years but I 
have spoken with 'old-timers' and they say they have never seen it like it is 
for such an extended period if time.  It is January and landscape is usually 
brown and 'harsh looking' but it is green and the fauna and flora is still 
amazing in abundance and diversity.

All we need to do is enjoy it while we can.
