Sat 18 Dec	Curlew Sandpiper Flat Rock, Ballina One non-breeding Curlew Sandpiper present along with Grey-tailed Tattlers (didn't see Wandering today), Ruddy Turnstones, Pied Oystercatchers and the usual Crested & Common Terns. No sign of the Bridled Tern (seen on the 5th by Steven McBride.) David Krippner & Jocelyne Pegoretti
	Channel-billed Cuckoo Centenial Park, Sydney Three Channel-billed Cuckoo flying out the park down Oxford Street mid morning. Chris and Jane Gregory
Fri 17 Dec	Rufous Scrub-bird Gloucester Tops I heard 6 separate calling male scrub-birds whilst walking approx 5km of the Careys Peak track (which starts at the boom gate at the end of Kerripit Rd in the Gloucester Tops). There were also at least half a dozen Olive Whistlers, a Logrunner, and some Crescent Honeyeaters in the more heathy habitat 3-4 km in. Alan Stuart
	Brush-Turkey Residential area Binalong Avenue Allambie Heights This bird has been seen twice in the lat two days at the back of my house which is mostly scrub. We live close to Manly dam, but there are no records of the Brush-Turkey being sighted in the dam park area. Mark Gronow

Thu 16 Dec	Plumed Whistling-Duck Turn Back Jimmy Creek, Newell Hwy A pair observed on the flooded creekline on the west side of the road. David Parker
Wed 15 Dec	Sooty Owl Culburra Beach, NSW A Sooty Owl reponded whilst we were spotlighting a bushland area and doing call playbacks to the west of the township of Culburra Beach. The site is approximately 1.8km west of the Culburra Beach shops. Deryk Engel and Jennifer Edwards
Tue 14 Dec	Eastern Osprey Culburra One bird observed perched on the phone tower that is located on the western outskirts of Culburra's township, on road (Strathstone Street) to the Sewage Treatment Plant. Deryk Engel
Mon 13 Dec	Square-tailed Kite Mataram Rd Woongarrah Observed Square-tailed Kite taking Common Myna with many Mynas mobbing the Kite. I have observed only two attacks on birds by S-t K both times Common Mynas. "Go the Square-tailed Kite". Paul Shelley
	common Koel Albury Common Koel calling incessantly in West Albury for last day or two. (Moderator's Note: Koels continue to extend their range south and westwards in NSW, generally using Red Wattlebirds as hosts.AKM) Anne McSpadden reported to John Kelly
Sun 12 Dec	Southern Emu-wren Cape Solander, Botany Bay NP A family of Southern Emu-wren, 2 adults 3 juv at Cape Solander late afternoon feeding on a warm day Location walking along clifftop about 800m south of the CS whale watching platform on clifftop walk about 50m shy of where the path turns inland from the clifftop to skirt the first cleft in the cliffs. 	Wandering Whistle Duck Little Wheeny Lagoon Cattai 2 of this species seen by a number of observers. regular sightings this lagoon but a rare species for the County of Cumberland. Keith Brandwood
Sat 11 Dec	Little Button-quail Nicholls Street, Griffith Single bird observed in roadside gutter on the outer edge of the Griffith suburb of Collina. This location is about 100m to the 'natural' area of Scenic Hill. David Parker
	Superb Parrot Madden Drive, Griffith A group of 6 birds observed flying south west through Griffith suburbs in the late evening (2010hrs). David Parker

Sun 5 Dec	Forest Kingfisher Ourimbah Seeminglly a fairly southerly observation. Ourimbah Creek Rd adjacent to 'Forest of Tranquility'. John Weigel
