An interesting record today which I've just put on to Eremaea - a Salvin's Albatross found alive on S. Stradbroke Island (Eastern Beach) yesterday - possibly a 1st for Qld of this taxa. It is currently at Seaworld. This record has occurred following a week of fresh to strong SE winds. see: http://www.eremaea.com/BirdlineRecentSightings.aspx?Birdline=7 The Southport Pelagic tomorrow may pick up something good (hopefully!!!)
