Hi all,
As some of you will know there is a birding/photography site called Birding Oz
with an active forum membership.
Inspired by the popular Twitchathons, last year Arron Davies suggested the
challenge to see how many birds we could photograph in a given time period and
the BirdingOz PhotoTwitch was born! The inaugural event was great fun although
the weather wasn’t the best and participation levels were fairly low. This year
our aim is to have a lot more competitors, and hopefully better weather! It
will be run over the first weekend in December (4th/5th) and you can choose any
consecutive 8 hour block over that weekend to have a go.
There are no prizes sorry (although if you know someone who would love to
donate anything please let me know!), and the aim is to have a bit of fun and
encourage people to get out into the bush and photograph birds.
If you are interested just go to
http://www.birdingoz.com.au
and register to join the site (no cost involved of course). All the rules etc
are there too:

Cheers,
