Dear All,

I am surprised that there are not more Ostriches around. During the early, '90s there were quite a few people setting themselves up as Ostrich breeders. The Ostrich fad fell over pretty quickly due to various reasons and there are only a few farms running Ostriches left around the country. I have always wondered what happened to all the Ostriches and I imagine that there might be one or two more little populations out there waiting for some birder like Jen to stumble upon.
Well spotted Jen.

Cheers,

Carl Clifford
